Kyla smiled, “Love you too sis.”, and closed the door.

Ashley stood in the hallway and sighed loudly. When Kyla got an idea in her head, man was
she a stubborn one, a trait they shared. Okay here it goes, she walked to her car and got in. Ashley drummed her fingers against the steering wheel nervously as she drove to the restaurant. Unfortunately, Kyla’s apartment wasn’t far from it so the ride was short and now she sat nervously outside. She couldn’t bring herself to go in so, she cut the car off and just sat there and sat there. Ashley hit the steering wheel with both hands and sighed loudly.

Spencer was just getting off work. She locked the door, “Night Aiden.”, she called to the retreating waiter, who happily waves in response. When she turns to walk to the parking lot she looks up to see someone sitting in her car across the street. Even though it is dark Spencer knows it is the brunette. It seems she is having a battle with herself, talking to herself and gesturing a lot with her hands. Spencer smiles as she walks over to the car. Ashley obviously doesn’t see her so, she leans over knocking on the window causing the girl to jump. Ashley looks over to a smirking Spencer standing at her door. Hand still cradling her chest she rolled down the window. “Well, I did say come by anytime, I guess?”, Spencer says smirk still in place. Ashley opened her mouth to say something but she couldn’t form words, she tried again but still nothing. Why was she such an idiot around this girl? What made her so different? Damn her and those gorgeous blue eyes!
“Are you hungry?”, Spencer asked with a warm smile. Ashley just nodded and Spencer leaned over opening the car door, “Come on.” Ashley got out of the car and followed Spencer to the parking lot behind the restaurant. She followed Spencer closely but, stopped in mid-walk when Spencer walked over to a motorcycle picking up a helmet from where it sat and put it on. She watched as Spencer adjusted the strap, looking over at her. She smiled as she looked at a wide-eyed Ashley standing there frozen. “Come on Ash.”, she said holding another helmet out to the girl. Ashley just stood there frozen. Spencer sighed smiling as she walked over to Ashley. She leaned over putting the helmet on the girl’s head. She adjusted the strap under Ashley’s chin allowing her fingertips to grace the girl’s cheek. “Trust me…okay.”, Spencer said softly cooing. Ashley just nodded lightly. Spencer walked back over to the bike, straddling it. Spencer kicked the bike started and she saw the girl tense. She reached out a hand to the girl, an apprehensive Ashley took it and slid in behind her. Spencer reached behind her taking Ashley’s hands interlocking their fingers before putting Ashley’s hands on her waist, then she released them. “Hold on tight, I won’t let anything happen to you.”, Spencer said rubbing a hand over Ashley’s lightly. She felt the girl’s body begin to relax under her touch. Spencer smiled as she pulled out of the parking lot. Ashley had no idea why, she barely knew Spencer yet she felt safe with her. Relaxing she lay her cheek against Spencer’s back snuggling into it. At this Spencer’s lips turned up into a wide grin as they drove down the road. The wind blew against her face and Ashley watched as the scenery passed by in what seemed like a blur. It was like she was flying and she couldn’t help but love the feeling. When what felt like a few moments had passed the motorcycle came to a stop. Spencer smiled when Ashley didn’t let go after she cut off the bike, the girl’s hands remained on the blonde’s hips. Ashley jumped out of her daze when she felt fingertips run over her hands. She quickly dropped her hands from Spencer’s hips and chuckled nervously. She watched as the smile on Spencer’s lips died when her hands moved. A small smirk played on her lips, realizing the impact the small action had on the blonde. So, she’s not the only one that holds power over the other, thank God this is not a one way street.
